A full body massage is the session most people mean when they say they just need a massage: one therapist, one private room, and an unhurried pass from your shoulders down to your feet. At A2 Spa in Majan, Al Barari, you pick the style and the pressure — we handle the rest.
Most people booking a body massage in Dubai are not looking for a specific technique. They have been at a desk all week, the shoulders have seized up, sleep has been thin — and they want someone competent to work on the whole body for an hour. That is exactly what this session is. If you already know you want a particular style, you can jump straight to it in the table below.
What a full body massage covers
“Full body” is used loosely across Dubai spas, so here is precisely what it means at A2 Spa. The therapist works through each region in sequence, spending longer wherever you have flagged tension. Only the area being treated is uncovered — everything else stays draped throughout.
The standard sequence. Tell your therapist beforehand if you want any area skipped or given extra time.
Back & shoulders
Where almost everyone carries desk and driving tension. This usually gets the largest share of the session.
Legs & feet
Long, sweeping strokes up the calves and thighs, plus focused work on the soles — noticeable if you are on your feet all day.
Arms & hands
Forearms, wrists and hands. Worth mentioning if you type, drive or lift for a living.
Neck & scalp
Optional, and the part regular clients ask for most. Say yes if you want to leave genuinely switched off.
Which style suits you?
Every treatment below is delivered as a full body session — the difference is technique, pressure and what it is best at. Pick by how you feel rather than by the name.
| If you feel… | Choose | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Wired, can’t switch off | Swedish | Flowing, medium-pressure strokes over the whole body. The safest first choice. |
| Knotted, stiff, sore | Deep tissue | Slower and firmer, working into the layers under the surface where stubborn tightness sits. |
| Anxious, sleeping badly | Aromatherapy | Gentler pressure paired with essential oils — the calmest option on the menu. |
| Cold, sluggish, tight all over | Hot stone | Warmed basalt stones soften muscle before hands-on work, so less force is needed. |
| Restricted, in need of a stretch | Thai | Assisted stretching and pressure points, done clothed and without oil. |
| After something traditional | Arabic | Regional technique with warm oil, rhythmic and grounding. |
| Dry-skinned, want simple oil work | Oil massage | Straightforward, generously oiled full body session. Good in Dubai’s air-conditioned dryness. |
Still undecided? Book a full body massage without specifying, describe how you feel when you arrive, and the therapist will recommend a style before starting. There is no extra charge for switching.
Choosing your pressure
Pressure matters more than style for whether you enjoy the hour. Deeper is not better — it is simply different. The therapist checks in during the first few minutes, and you can ask for a change at any point.
If you are new to massage or coming in tired rather than injured, medium is usually the right call.
60 or 90 minutes?
60 minutes
- Covers the whole body at a steady pace
- Good for a first visit or a regular maintenance session
- Fits comfortably into a lunch break or an evening
- Expect roughly half the time on back and shoulders
90 minutes
- Everything above, plus real time on problem areas
- Worth it if your lower back or shoulders need attention
- Better suited to firm and deep pressure, which works slowly
- The choice most repeat clients settle on
Your first visit, step by step
Arrive & settle
Come a few minutes early. We’ll ask about problem areas, injuries and any pressure preference.
Private room
You change in the room, alone, with the door closed. Disposable underwear and towels are provided.
The session
Talk or stay silent — both are fine. Speak up any time about pressure, temperature or music.
Afterwards
Get up slowly, shower if you like, drink water. Give yourself a quiet hour rather than rushing off.
What regular full body massage can help with
Massage is not a medical treatment, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What clients consistently report — and what the research broadly supports — is more modest and more useful:
In the short term
- Eases muscle tightness across the back, neck and shoulders
- Supports circulation, which can help heavy or tired legs
- Helps the nervous system settle after a stressful stretch
- Many people sleep more deeply the same night
With regular sessions
- Tension tends to build up more slowly between visits
- Can support recovery alongside gym or sport training
- Gives you a reliable hour that is genuinely offline
- Makes it easier to notice tension early, before it locks in
If you are pregnant, recovering from surgery, or being treated for a heart, circulatory or skin condition, please check with your doctor first and tell us before the session so we can adapt or decline appropriately.

Open until 3:00 AM, every day
Most spas in Dubai close by 10 PM. We don’t. If your day genuinely ends at midnight — shift work, a late flight into DXB, a long night at the office — a full body massage is still available, and the rooms are quieter then than at any other hour.
Full body massage — common questions
A full body massage at A2 Spa works through the back and shoulders, neck, arms and hands, legs and feet, with scalp work if you want it. Only the area being worked on is uncovered; the rest of you stays draped in a towel throughout. If there is any area you would rather we skip, just say so at the start.
If you mainly want to switch off, choose Swedish or aromatherapy. If you have stubborn knots in the back and shoulders, choose deep tissue. If you feel cold, stiff and slow, choose hot stone. If you want stretching rather than oil work, choose Thai. If you are not sure, tell the therapist how you feel and they will suggest a style before starting.
60 minutes covers the whole body at a comfortable pace. 90 minutes gives the therapist time to spend longer on problem areas such as the lower back or shoulders without rushing the rest. If it is your first visit and you are unsure, 60 minutes is a sensible starting point.
You choose. We work on a light, medium, firm or deep scale and the therapist will check with you early in the session. Massage can feel intense on tight areas, but it should never be painful. Ask for less pressure at any point and it will be adjusted immediately.
Yes. Tell us your preference when you book on WhatsApp and we will confirm availability for your time slot. Every session takes place in a private, single-occupancy treatment room.
A2 Spa is open daily from 10:30 AM until 3:00 AM, so a late-evening or after-midnight session is normal for us rather than an exception. Late slots are popular at weekends, so message ahead where you can.
Bring nothing; towels and disposable underwear are provided and there is a shower available. Afterwards, drink water, avoid a heavy workout for the rest of the day and give yourself a quiet hour if you can. Some mild tenderness the next day is normal after firm or deep work.
